Partying like a rockstar

This year Alyssa rung in her birthday rock star-style (the kiddie version, of course). She enjoyed having one gigantic month-long birthday celebration. Although Alyssa's birthday wasn't until June 16th, we kicked off the festivities on Memorial Day (my brother and his wife were coming up that weekend) with a surprise birthday party. She was definitely surprised (having a party two & a half weeks before the actual date will tend to do that). She got lots of wonderful presents from the Coacher side of the family plus a special surprise from Kip and me -- a new bike! On her actual birthday Kip and I took Alyssa and Travis out for a family lunch date. Here we let her open up more presents that she had received from Grandma and Grandpa Kotter. We also revealed that for her final present we had signed her up for a three-day horse camp. Our little horse-lover was ecstatic about the camp. She enjoyed every minute of the camp and was sorely disappointed that it only lasted three days (I fear I have opened a HUGE can of worms, here!) I am still trying to recover from the birthday extravaganza but Alyssa, the little party animal, has already told her Grandma Kotter that it would be OK if she set up a birthday party for her when we come to Utah next week. So, the partying continues...

Here are some pictures from the surprise B-day party on Memorial Day:

...and more presents!

...meanwhile, this is how Travis spent the birthday party.

Catching up...

I know it has been FOREVER since I lasted posted something. Preschool has ended and Summer has arrived but our lives have not gotten any less hectic. Between pool playdates, birthday parties, and camps galore we have been busy little bees around here. Here are a few pictures highlighting some of our adventures:
