We have been blessed with perfect weather for the past few weekends. Not surprisingly, we have taken full advantage by doing lots of fun outdoor activities with the family. Here are some of the pictures from our recent excursions...
First, we went to a Washington Nationals game in their brand new stadium. We saw them get beaten pretty handily by the Braves, but we still had a great time. Alyssa and her cousin, Coriel, were really into the game (and the food) while Travis entertained himself by playing with the stadium seats.

Alyssa, Travis and me enjoying the gameOur next big adventure was Mount Vernon, the home of George Washington. I hadn't been there in a while so we decided to go and do the tourist thing. It was really a lot of fun. The kids had a great time running around and checking everything out. The girls were also really interested in hearing stories about President Washington. We had gone to the library the day before and read a few picture books about him, so they had a little background and wanted to learn more. We were lucky enough to see a whole bunch of brand new baby goats on the day we went. Petting the goats was Travis's favorite part of the trip.

Vernon Finally, last weekend we decided to visit Kidwell farm, a working farm near us that had a special baby animal day where they invited the community to come see and pet the new animals. Alyssa, an animal fanatic, was in heaven. She loved everything, but her favorite activity was getting to pet the horses. Travis was a little shy about petting the animals, but did not hesitate to make the appropriate animal sound when he saw an animal he recognized.

Fun! My other friend just took her kid to a baseball game too. America's favorite past time, right? You look great and you're kids are getting so big. Any plans for a third?
Yes, we definitely want another baby, we just aren't sure when is a good time to start seriously trying. Definitely not before summer(I want at least one summer where I don't feel abosultely hideous in a swimsuit!) How about you guys? Are you getting baby happy again?
FUN FUN FUN. I love everything touristy in D.C. You guys are so good to take advantage of all the fun stuff you have to do there. AND that's awesome that your kids will sit through a baseball game! What good children you have.
